Building Muscle

Is your adolescent athlete struggling to build and maintain muscle for their sport? This can be very frustrating for many young athletes who have high needs due to their training as well as growth and development yet are constrained by a busy school and training schedule.

Many young athletes trying to build muscle can feel that they need to rely on bars and shakes and supplements to build muscle but, after trying different products, they still don’t see improvements. They continue to struggle with building muscle and some even actually lose weight. It can be extremely frustrating and defeating for some athletes.

Working with Taylor

In her practice Taylor frequently works with young adolescent athletes to build muscle. In working together she makes sure the athlete:

  • Learns key foundational nutrition information

  • Learns the key nutrients and placement of these nutrients for building and maintaining muscle

  • Feels supported in creating a fueling strategy that works for them that gets them their desired results

  • Has support not only as they implement initial changes and start to see improvement (this is typically in their off-season) but also has support as they get into their season, making sure they can maintain what they have built.

  • Feels confident in nutrition decisions moving forward after time working together is complete.

If your athlete has been struggling to build and / or maintain muscle and you are looking for help and support, I would love to chat with you about working together. While it is encouraged to focus on building muscle during an athlete’s off-season, you can reach out any time to schedule a free 20-minute Discovery Call to discuss working together.
